View a Patient Profile
The patient profile is used to view regulatory events associated with a patient.
If the patient does not have a Medication History, you can view a patient profile from Patient Search.
View a Patient Profile
- In Patient Search Results, double-click to open the relevant record and view in Patient Details.
The profile displays the patient's identifying details at the top.
If the patient has a linked Medication History , select View Medication History
. From the Medication History , select to return to the patient profile. See
Patient details
First name, Middle name, Surname, Date of birth, Sex
If the patient already has a medication history, the patient details are automatically populated from this record.
Recent overdose

If provided, a date is displayed.
Deceased

If provided, a date is displayed.

Estimated - Indicates whether the date of death is estimated or not.
Fraudulent Activity
A practitioner or someone else has made a report that patient is alleged to have engaged in some sort of fraudulent activity in order to obtain monitored medicines (for example, forging prescriptions, using stolen prescriptions, giving false identity information, etc...)
If Alleged fraudulent activity is selected, an end date displays. The end date is an estimated period of time during which a fraudulent prescription (or prescriptions) may potentially be in use.

The Approvals and QOTP Episodes are sorted in reverse chronological order by date last updated.
If this grid is empty, a message is displayed: There is no approval or QOTP episode for this patient.

Select the approval or episode to view its details.
Prescriber

The name of the prescriber who was granted the approval or admitted that patient onto the Queensland Opioid Treatment Program (QOTP) for that particular QOTP episode. An episode relates to a period of time that a patient is with a particular prescriber for treatment. A patient may have more than one episode during the time that they are registered on the program.

Only approvals with a status of Granted and episodes with a status of Open are current and valid. Approval and episode identifying numbers are not shown in the grid. You should click on an approval or episode to view more details including the identifying number and version.
